Arabica Plantation is the highest grade of Arabica beans grown in India, of which 90% is exported to Europe and most specifically Italy. The one that we offer is from single source from Coorg , Karnataka , dry processed beans , roasted in temperature controlled traditional oven and immediately powdered and packed.
Arabica is said to produce better tasting coffee than the other major commercially grown coffee species, Robusta, because Robusta cherries contain twice as much caffeine as arabica. Caffeine itself has a bitter taste, making Robusta more bitter. Arabica contains less caffeine than any other commercially cultivated species of coffee.
Arabica is known as Coffee arabica which is a species of Coffee originally indigenous to the mountains of the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia. It is also known as the “coffee shrub of Arabia”, “mountain coffee” or “arabica coffee”.
Processing of coffee in India is accomplished using two methods, dry processing and wet processing. Dry processing is the traditional method of drying in the sun which is favoured for its flavour producing characteristics. Our Arabica coffee beans are dry processed and are roasted and milled in traditional , but temperature controlled machinery. We pack the powder immediately after milling to preserve its attributes.
